On the day of your assignment, you must check in Part 3 at 9:00 a.m. and notify
Judge Freundlich that you are the scheduled 18b Attorney-of-the-Day. You will be
required to be present and available to the court on the day assigned to you for cases
pertaining to:
1. Visitation and Custody, not connected to neglect;
2. Family Offenses;
3. Adoption cases;
4. Guardianship matters; and
5. Support and Paternity.
It is imperative that the Court be notified that you are present. If you are not in attendance
and the Court tries to contact you, please be advised that an answering service,
answering machine or a return call at the end of the day is not sufficient. l would suggest
that If you have a cell phone, you should advise us so that we can note it on the calendar
for the Court.
If you have a conflict on the day you are assigned, it is up to you to switch your date with
another 18b attorney who is listed on the calendar and advise my office and the Court of
the change. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MAY NOT GIVE YOUR DAY AWAY. If you are
having difficulty switching with a participating attorney on the calendar, kindly contact my
office immediately.
